2 day agoUS President Trump has signed an executive order pledging to guarantee Qatar’s security, including military action if necessary, following Israel’s airstrikes on Hamas leaders in Qatar. The order states any attack on Qatar would be treated as “a threat to the peace and security of the United States”. It further says the US should “take all lawful and appropriate measures — including diplomatic, economic, and, if necessary, military — to defend the interests of the United States and of the State of Qatar”

A source familiar with the details of the conversation between Netanyahu and the Qatari Prime Minister told @Jerusalem_Post: "It was a full apology. Netanyahu also committed not to attack Qatar again."
After the publication in N12, Minister Ben Gvir attacks Netanyahu for the apology: "The attack by senior Hamas figures, the masterminds of the October 7 massacre, on the state of Qatar was an important, just and moral attack of unparalleled magnitude. Qatar is a country that supports terrorism, finances terrorism and incites terrorism. No amount of money will wipe terrorism from their hands."

Hamas in an official statement: We have not received any new proposals from the mediators. Negotiations have been suspended since the failed assassination attempt on September 9 in Doha. We emphasize our willingness to examine any proposal that comes from the mediators in a positive and responsible manner, while preserving the national rights of our people.
